Four more communities in Lviv region received equipment from Agro Kar to combat Sosnovsky's hogweed

SPIKE tractors, as well as road mowers and plows manufactured by Agro Kar, were transferred to the Kozivska, Slavska, Skolivska and Skhidnytska communities on May 11, the Lviv Agrarian Chamber reported.

The transfer of equipment took place within the framework of the international technical assistance project “Protection of biodiversity of transboundary territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of hogweed (Heracleum)”, which is being implemented in the Lviv region with the support of the Interreg NEXT Poland - Ukraine 2021-2027 Program and the Lviv Regional Military Administration. From now on, all 9 target communities of the Lviv region have received the necessary equipment and equipment to combat Sosnovsky's hogweed.

“The above-mentioned equipment and equipment are intended to increase the capacity of territorial communities and will be used to destroy hogweed. The project envisages the cleaning of at least 110 hectares of contaminated areas in each community from this invasive plant. According to preliminary information from the territorial communities, this amount of land is the most affected by hogweed, where entire plantations have grown, not single individuals. It is in such areas that the use of equipment will be effective,” said the head of the chamber, Ihor Vuytsyk.

We will remind you that on May 4, the Starosambir and Khyriv communities of Lviv region received tractors, plows and mowers manufactured by Agro Kar.
